![]() | A quick note about me: I’m currently working for a large software testing consultancy. I’ve recently bought my first house with Sarah and I’m spending most of my spare time knocking down walls, stripping wall paper and the usual DIY tasks in renovating. This challenge that we have all undertaken is going to be an experience of a life time. While living in Derby last year I was lucky enough to be able to cycle to work most days. However, since moving back to Birmingham it would take me a little too long to get to work in the mornings if I kept that up. Now most of my days are spent behind a desk or commuting on the train my lifestyle is going to have to change in order to fit in some much needed training. Although I enjoy cycling I have never attempted more than 15-20 miles at a time, so let’s see how my body will cope with 80-100miles a day we have planned. I feel that this cycle (challenge) will be a fitting memory to my dad and a very good opportunity to raise money for two very worth while charities. I will always have the fond memory of him cycling to work and watching him free wheel down the garden path when he arrived home. I’m sure during this time that he cycled more than the distance we will be doing in the LEJOG. Any donation that you can make gratefully accepted. It’s really easy to help support Marie Curie and Myfanwy Townsend, just follow the links below to my Just Giving pages. Please spend a little extra time splitting your donations between the two. If you are a UK taxpayer please don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box so the tax can be claimed on your donation (a little extra for free!). |

We would be very grateful if you would spend the time to donate an equal amount to each charity, and for those UK tax payers please don't forget the Gift Aid option.
